The movie I have become OBSESSED with!

You may have heard me talk on my show about "The Greatest Showman"...I rented it on demand 2 Fridays ago...by Sunday, I'd watched it 4 times. Ordered the dvd on Amazon, watched the movie again the day I got it.  Took it to Dallas last weekend to introduce it to my parents...(watched it twice there)...my stepmom had the same reaction to it as me:  goosebumps and tears. AND I watched it again one night this week.

It's the story of P.T. Barnum and his circus...it was a pretty big hit at the box office, despite some negative reviews by critics ($427 million worldwide, making it the fifth-highest grossing live-action musical of all time)...and to me, it is just MAGICAL.  The plot, the acting, the singing, the dancing...all top-notch! As far as the singing, I never knew that stars Hugh Jackman and Zac Efron had such great voices! The songs are incredible...I listen to the soundtrack at least two times a day.  It makes me smile...it makes me cry. Just...ALL the feels!  One of the tunes, "This Is Me" (now my ringtone!) was nominated for Best Original Song at both the Oscars and Golden Globes - it WON the GG award! And I think why is touches me so much is that it's about being an outcast...I grew up feeling unaccepted, like I didn't fit it.  I guess that's why the film, too, is resonating so much with me.  It's about embracing your oddness and not caring what others think of you. And in this era where bullying is such a problem, it gives me hope that one day, the world will become a kinder, more loving place.

If you, too, are a huge fan of "The Greatest Showman", reach out and let me know! I feel like forming a club or something!!!
