Hacks for exercising when you're feeling down

 

The one thing that helps lift a depression is the one thing we don’t want to do.

Science has shown over and over that exercise is great for depression. Specifically it helps push fatigue to the side so we can shower, work, and do other typical life chores. Getting motivated to actually exercise is a trick, but luckily, “Bustle” has come up with some simple hacks.

They are:

  • Start slow and simple. Work your way up.
  • Exercise from home.
  • Get a friend to help.
  • Plan ahead.
  • Try a new activity.
  • Work with a trainer!
