The U.S. Department of Agriculture has announced a massive recall of more than 6.5 million pounds of ground beef and other beef products from a company in Arizona.
The Centers for Disease Control reports 57 cases of salmonella poisoning in 16 states between August 5th and September 6th, and believes they're linked to ground beef processed and packaged by JBS Tolleson.
The recalled packages of meat have a USDA mark of “EST. 267" and should be returned or thrown out. Just last month, the USDA issued a recall of 132,000 pounds of beef from a Colorado company over concerns of E.coli. (USA Today)
