Our NSO performs the most popular song in DC right now!

I'll be honest...not having young kids, I wasn't too familiar with the phenomenon that is "Baby Shark...UNTIL the Nats' Gerardo Parra made it his walk-up music...and then the Nationals made it into the postseason...and NOW, THE WORLD SERIES!

Parra was in a slump back in June...so he decided to request a new intro song, and in a nod to his 2-year old daughter, Aaliyha, he chose the infectious ditty. Mind you, throughout his 11-year major league career, Parra had normally opted for reggae or hip-hop songs.

The first time he walked out to "Baby Shark", no one really noticed...but then Parra hit a double the next time he was up AND he got a home run in the same game, too! The Nats won 6-2...and well, the rest, if you will, is history!

Now, when the Nats make a big play, the team and the fans do the Shark finger, hand and arm motions...and the song is EVERYWHERE across the DMV...our prestigious National Symphony Orchestra even did its' own rendition!
