So, I guess about 2 years ago, my hubby got REALLY into barbecuing and smoking meat. He's always loved to man the grill and came across a tv show called "BBQ Pitmasters", and...that was when things really started to ramp up, lol! John developed a serious man crush on the head judge on the show, Myron Mixon...and decided he wanted to attempt to mimic what he sees Myron doing (John now spends almost every weekend fixing ribs, brisket, pork butts and shoulders and more!). WHICH IS ALOT! Myron's known as "The Winningest Man In BBQ", a 4-time World Champion, who, over the years has finished 1st in 180 BBQ grand championships and taken home 1,700 BBQ trophies!!!!!!!!!!!!
We were lucky enough to get to visit Myron's restaurant in Old Town Alexandria, "Myron Mixon's Pitmaster BBQ", and enjoy many of his down-home specialties (Myron's from Georgia). BBQ Deviled Eggs, Baby Back Mac and Cheese, Buffalo Pork Rinds and Black Angus Beef Brisket!!! And the desserts! OMG...the Bourbon Chocolate Pecan Pie is simply off the chart! It's a wonderful, cozy, inviting place to enjoy some SERIOUS barbecue and we can't wait to go back!
