I have long wanted to visit DC's famed "Crumbs And Whiskers" Cat Cafe in Georgetown...and did you know there's also "The Kitten Lounge"?
YES! And while my stepmom and fellow cat lover was visiting this week, we decided to go for it! We made a reservation (which IS recommended) and arrived 10 minutes before our session so we could learn the ways of the lounge. You're asked to take your shoes off (to protect the vulnerable young felines from outside germs) and wear socks or go barefoot (they do provide little pantyhose feet you can wear). And after a few more instructions, you're free to sit wherever you like and play and cuddle with the kittens! There's plenty of toys to help entice them to come to you. On the day we visited, there were probably 10 kittens in the lounge...each is a rescue and each is up for adoption!
