In case you didn't know, my husband and I have alpacas on our farm/ranch. We got our first 2 back in 2016 and over the years since, have discovered how much we really enjoy them!
Alpacas are known for their thick fleece so they have to be sheared before the summer heat kicks in. So once a year, each Spring, we designate a shearing day. And how the alpacas look before and after that day is kinda crazy! They go from thick and fuzzy to super skinny!
These are just a pics of our crew...and a video that shows how their fleece comes off like a big blanket. That fleece, that comes from their middle section and neck, is what is turned into yarn, which is in turn made into scarves, sweaters, gloves, you name it!
