The world's biggest cleaning products maker says it probably won't be able to meet the demand for disinfecting wipes until next year. The CEO of Clorox on Tuesday blamed the shortage on a six-fold surge in demand since the coronavirus outbreak began. The executive said it's hard to quickly scale up production of wipes because the supply chain for materials to make them is very complex...and some of those materials are also used in manufacturing personal protective equipment. One material is called polyester spunlace, which is also found in masks and medical gowns.
So if you happen upon a store that has Clorox Wipes in stock, grab as many of 'em as you can!
