I remember a few weeks ago...a warning came out from authorities in Arlington...they were concerned because people weren't properly social distancing when going out on the weekend in Clarendon.
They told violators that if they didn't remain 6 feet apart, they would soon be receiving a fine of $100. Well, that time is now here and as of this past Friday, if you don't comply with the policy of social distancing, you could have to pay up.
The county prohibits groups of more than three people from gathering and you must maintain six feet from others on streets and sidewalks where warning signs are posted.
Arlington County says it may impose tougher rules and even close down businesses that aren't complying.
So when you go out in Shirlington or Ballston or Clarendon, please be aware and do what the signs ask. Let's all stay safe!
