BEWARE in Virginia when you see this caterpillar

Normally, when I see a caterpillar...I get excited! 'Cause...you know...they turn into butterflies...and I love those. Well, this caterpillar that's been spotted in Virginia is one we all need to avoid!

The Puss Caterpillar is hairy, and the hairs are actually venomous spines that can cause extreme pain. If you were to get stung, you'd feel "an immediate intense burning pain," then you'd see a "red grid-like pattern" on your skin.

Other symptoms may include a "rash, nausea and vomiting, fever, muscle cramps, swollen glands and shock", according to the University of Michigan Health System.

Yeeeeeeaaaaah, okaaaaaaaay, then. This is SO 2020!!!
