How many people are you buying gifts for this year? A new survey by Omaha Steaks found that the average American will spend about $323 on holiday gifts this year -- for six different people. Millennials plan to spend the most on gifts this year – with an average budget of $331 -- about $12 more than Boomers and Gen Xers. According to the survey, Gen Z will spend the least – about $220. Gen Zers will also exchange gifts with only about four people.
