I saw a segment on tv about a book called "Unwinding Anxiety" by psychiatrist Judson Brewer and my interest was definitely piqued. I've been feeling so much anxiety and stress lately that I've been getting severe headaches, which is unusual for me. So, I figure if you, too, are...unsettled, a year into the pandemic...maybe some of what the book recommends might help.
It's all about changing and healing our brains in a 3-step process.
First of all, recognize the fact that you feel uneasy. Don't try to quell the feeling.
Then, look at your anxiety habit loop which features the Trigger, the Behavior and the Result.
For instance, let's say you're overwhelmed by your to-do list...that's your Trigger. So you decide to get on social media...that's the Behavior component. The Result is...you've avoided tackling your list but you have to ask yourself, "Is this helping me...do I feel as if this is rewarding?"
That process may help you get a hold of your anxiety. Learn more below...and buy the book here.
