Homeowners rip up carpet, find life-sized Monopoly board underneath

A lot of homeowners want hardwood floors in their house...so they'll check out potential homes that have carpet in hopes that a wood floor is underneath and can be refurbished. And sometimes, when older homes are purchased, it's fun to discover hidden treasures in those properties.

Well, imagine pulling up your carpet...and discovering a BOARD GAME below.

That's what happened to the in-laws of a Reddit user. They decided to rip up their carpet - and were very surprised to find a life-sized version of the Monopoly game, complete with the Park Place and Boardwalk spaces, a jail, the railroads featured in the game, and more! The board was hand-painted by a previous owner.

And actually, did you know? Back in the 1950's, painting game boards on house floors was popular!
