She's 18 years old, she went to Yorktown High School in Arlington, she just competed at the Olympic trials and she set a new swimming record there!
Last night, Torri Huske swam the 100m butterfly in 55.78 seconds. The previous record was 55.98 seconds, set back at the 2012 Olympics by Dana Vollmer. Torri and Dana are the only US swimmers to come in under 56 seconds in the 100m fly!
Torri plans to swim at Stanford. But before then, we'll get to cheer her on at the Tokyo Olympics, which kick off on July 23rd.
Here's hoping Torri can beat WORLD record of 55.48 seconds!
