My first week back at the office - thoughts...

On Monday, I came back to work. No more broadcasting from home...and dealing with so many remote issues - technology failed me many times over the past 15 months. My emotions over this "lifestyle change" have run the gamut. I mean, it was really hard to adjust to doing my show from my tiny little home office/makeup room. And this week, it's been...quite a bit to adjust to being back here at 1801 Rockville Pike.

Traffic...it's not nearly as heavy as it used to be. Been taking me about 25 minutes less to get to work. And it's weird to not see so many people waiting at bus stops and coming out of the Metro station across the road. It's kinda...desolate.

And it's the same way in our building. Very few cars in the garage...and I think I've seen a total of 8 of my fellow coworkers. Usually, this place is pretty packed.

Everywhere I look, I see Purell dispensers and boxes of face masks and disinfecting wipes. It's...just...odd.

And it feels surreal.

I'd love to know what it's been like for you if you, too, have returned to your workplace. Drop me a note: jenni@washfm.com.

We got through the pandemic together...hoping we can navigate this "return to the office" thing together, too.
