RECALL alert: sunscreen

Beware before putting on your sunscreen. Johnson and Johnson is recalling five spray-on sunscreens and telling people to throw them out. Apparently, they have small amounts of a chemical that can cause cancer. Four of the products are Neutrogena and include: Cool Dry Sport, Beach Defense, Invisible Daily Defense, and Ultra Sheer. The one from Aveeno is Protect and Refresh. The recall includes all can sizes and all SPF levels.

The chemical is called benzene, a carcinogen that “could potentially cause cancer depending on the level and extent of exposure.” J&J says benzene is never used in their products and that the recall is in place "out of an abundance of caution". You'll get a refund if you purchased one of the sunscreens.
