When I recently adopted my new dog, Bing, he was different from any other pup I'd gotten from a rescue group before. He came with absolutely NO training. So, for the 1st time, I decided that I needed to hire a trainer.
Naturally, one of the first commands she tried to teach him was SIT. And he would not. No matter what kind of treat we gave him as an incentive/reward!!!
Bing has been able to learn DOWN, OFF, WAIT and COME. But for whatever reason, he doesn't like to sit! I was taken aback until my trainer said that she HAD worked with one other pooch who wouldn't sit. She told me not to worry, that Bing maybe just isn't a "sitter". Okie dokie!!!
