Celine Dion says she's suffering from a rare neurological disorder. It's called Stiff-Person Syndrome, a disorder that impacts around one in a million people. SPS is characterized by fluctuating muscle rigidity in the limbs and a heightened sensitivity to stimulus such as noise, touch and emotional distress, and can set off muscle spasms that are so severe they can fracture bone. In an emotional Instagram post, Dion said the spasms are impacting her ability to walk and sing. So the superstar has been forced to postpone the restart of her European tour that was set to begin in February.
The condition has no cure but certain treatments can help lessen symptoms.
