It turns out it was just a tease. Forecasters who inflated the hopes of skywatchers about the possibility of seeing the Northern Lights on Thursday in parts of the DMV are now reversing course. They now say it's going to be pretty hard for anyone close to urban settings to see the light show, but folks in Western Maryland may get a glimpse, albeit a weak one. Parts of the extreme northern U.S. are forecast to have the best chance to see the Aurora Borealis. That included these 4 states: Wisconsin, Michigan, Maine and Montana.
BUMMER!!!
Maybe we'll get lucky next time.
