Pink Floyd is one of my favorite bands of all time, and I have always said that Roger Waters at Jiffy Lube (back when it was Nissan Pavilion) was the best show I've ever seen. I saw Roger Waters on Friday night at Verizon Center and still feel the same way. His performance was incredible. Also, I'd never been to a show with an intermission!
However, some folks are not fans of musicians taking a stand on politics and using their shows as a political venue. My friend Mike and I had differing opinions on this as well. He said he enjoyed the show until it got too political. I respect that. I felt like it was an expression of his music which has always been politically charged.
Obviously Roger Waters isn't the only one to do it. U2, Lady Gaga, Bruce Springsteen, even Bryan Adams! So, what are your thoughts?
