I'm a member of Lifetime in Rockville. Yes, it's an expensive gym, but with all the great classes and extras they offer it's worth it for me. That being said, the gym is close to work not home so my daughter has never gone with me.
Well, the Rockville location is under construction so I used the Gaithersburg gym for the first time today and brought my daughter as my guest. Didn't have to pay today and she got to use all of the amenities they offer for kids! She went to the kids area where they have a tumbling room, and multiple workout/activity rooms, which is already amazingly cool...
... but then she took kids yoga! Ages 3 to 6, all by herself with a great teacher in ANOTHER separate workout room! This all while mom was struggling through a ridiculously hard spin class!
This was before class. I didn't get a chance to snap the actually tree poses and down dogs since I was in class. Next time, I promise

Cheers to the end of our workout at the Lifetime cafe for a protein shake we split, and Eleanor's creation. Strawberry Banana with Chocolate powder!
Lesson learned today: Working out with your kid is awesome! 'Til next week's gym adventures!
