I went to dinner last night with some friends and we all had the same question when staring at the menu, "Is it safe to eat romaine again?" The answer is... kind of. Apparently the source of the contamination has been traced to California, but it's hard to know exactly where the lettuce in your crisper is from and it's even harder to know where it's from if you're ordering a salad at a restaurant. The CDC says, when it doubt, throw it out, until they can get this thing contained. I've never wanted a Ceasar Salad so badly!
