Listeria Recalls Fresh Veggies Sold at Multiple Grocery Store Chains

Eat more vegetables, they said. They're good for you, they said. Now look. The FDA says listeria has been found in fresh veggies that were released from Growers Express, a manufacturer out of Maine that supplies vegetables to grocery chains from Trader Joe's to Food Lion and almost every on in between. These products were distributed across 24 states including Virginia, and Maryland. The article posted gives you specific packages that have been recalled, but the major recall is for anything containing butternut squash, cauliflower, and zucchini. However, there are other items that are recalled as well so be sure to check your pantry, your fridge and your freezer!
