The National Weather Service Successfully Baked Biscuits in a Hot Car

I saw this story earlier today and made a note to circle back around to it because it was just so crazy I needed to learn more. This heatwave is not just over here on the east coast, it's almost nationwide and The National Weather Service did a little experiment today to see just how hot the temperature was on the inside of a car. As you can see from their twitter feed, the highest temperature recorded in the car was 185 degrees, which successfully cooked the outsides of the biscuits with a little golden brown on the top. The heat inside the car was not hot enough to cook the biscuits all the way through, but the lesson learned on this one is just how hot the temperature is on the inside of your car, and be sure not to leave children or pets in the car at all in this excessive heat!
