Whether it's DC locals affected by the government shutdown, Puerto Ricans or Bahamians affected by natural disasters, Chef Jose Andres never misses an opportunity to use his profile and connections to help feed those in need. He is one of the most well-known chefs in the DMV, not only because of his fantastic local restaurants, but because of the humanitarian work he does throughout the country. Andres and his team are using the kitchens of the popular tourist destination of Atlantis in Nassau to make sandwiches to deliver to those affect by Hurricane Dorian in Abaco and Grand Bahama. I love that some of the guests of Atlantis are taking time away from their paid vacations to get in the kitchen to help those in need.
