Not again! This is the second time General Mills has had to recall their Gold Medal flour for possible e.coli contamination. Gross. How does that even happen? I guess unclean surfaces. Well, if you have General Mills Gold Medal All-purpose Flour in your pantry you are going to want to double check the lot number and expiration date.
Here's an excerpt from Cooking Light magazine with the recall information:
The tainted flour is in five-pound bags stamped with a "best if used by" date of September 6, 2020, according to the FDA. Shoppers should be able to find the product's UPC, 000-16000-19610-0, somewhere near the barcode on the exterior of the bag.
