GIANT Snapping Turtle Found in Someone's Neighborhood in Alexandria, VA

My friend Ty shared this on Twitter this afternoon and I was shocked when I read the news! Animal control received a call about a large turtle in a residential neighborhood in Southeast Fairfax. Turns out, it wasn't just a large turtle, it was a 65 lb alligator snapping turtle! This guys looks menacing! Check out the Facebook post the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries. Aptly named, Lord Fairfax, the alligator snapping table was captured and released to his new home at the Virginia Zoo in Norfolk where they hope Lord Fairfax will be part of a new exhibit. Wild!
