WARNING: MD & VA Officials Warn Residents About Seeds Sent From China

Next time you check the mailbox, be on the look out for a suspicious package... from China. It looks like a number of both Maryland and Virginia residents have received the seeds in the mail, without ordering them. If you have received them, Maryland and Virginia officials are asking that you report these packages of seeds that you did not order. Residents who receive this package should contact the Maryland Department of Agriculture's Plant Protection and Weed Management Program. Virginia officials say the types of seeds in the packages in question are unknown, but they could be an invasive plant species. Contact numbers and emails can be found in the link below.
