Research Says Neck Gaiters May Increase Spread of COVID-19

If you thought all face coverings were created equal, think again Research has just been done on different types of masks used in an effort to help slow the spread of COVID-19, however it shows that one particular mask is counterproductive. The study claims that wearing a bandana or neck gaiter as a face covering actually has the opposite effect, giving its wearer at 10% higher risk of transmitting the virus, versus wearing no mask at all. I was in shock when I read the news, and personally discouraged as both Eleanor and I wore a neck gaiter yesterday while we were at The Adventure Park in Sandy Spring. The neck gaiters have been the masks Eleanor has been able to keep on so I was pleased when she found them to be easier to wear and more comfortable. Back to the drawing board
