Both of these nearby states are beautiful this time of year! The weather starts to cool, the crowds start to dissipate, and the lodging gets cheaper. Unfortunately these popular weekend getaways are still recovering from all the summer travelers, causing a spike in positive COVID cases in both West Virginia and Delaware. I am actually planning on heading to Delaware this Sunday night and staying until Tuesday morning. This is usually the weekend when I run the DogFish Dash in Milton, DE and I use it as some much needed, solo R&R. While the race is obviously cancelled this year, I was still planning on taking the time to get away and enjoy the beach when the crowds are much smaller. It seems those plans may change. :(
