Heartbreaking news to share this afternoon. We just learned that Eddie Van Halen has died after a long battle with cancer. The frontman of legendary rock band, Van Halen was only 65. News outlets report that Van Halen's health took a drastic downturn over the last 72 hours. He died Tuesday morning atSt. John's Hospital in Santa Monica with his wife, son and brother by his side. Eddie Van Halen had battled throat cancer for years. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, and his bandmates who have been a part of his family (if not literally family) for many years.
