COVID-19 Vaccines Available to More Groups in DC Beginning Today

DC mayor Muriel Bowser announced yesterday that more individuals would be eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine beginning today (2.18.21). Now grocery workers, and those who work in food packaging or manufacturing are eligible for the vaccine and can begin making appointments. These groups are in addition to the already eligible groups that include healthcare providers, the Metropolitan Police Department, those who are homeless, childcare providers and teachers. Remember that this update is for DC only.

Unfortunately it has been very tough to schedule your appointment, either because of poor online systems or simply because of the shortage of vaccines. The weather isn't helping things either. All of these winter storms have put the DMV's COVID-19 vaccine in even shorter supply.
