Big news today with the announcement of the cherry blossoms peak bloom dates. If the weather path we're on continues, the parks department forecasts peak bloom dates to be between April 2nd and the 5th. While the trees bloom every year, this year will certainly look a little different for spectators and visitors who flock to the Tidal Basin to catch a glimpse of these incredible trees. While last year's Cherry Blossom Festivities were all cancelled, organizers were able to plan for this year with more understanding and knowledge of the limitations that COVID-19 bring. From some virtual celebrations to a number of smaller community events, the DC region will see some cherry blossom celebrations this year.
