Amanda Gorman Becomes Latest Woman to Grace DC Mural

On this International Women's Day it seems fitting that a woman who rose to international fame with her incredible poem on inauguration day is now commemorated in the city that gave her a platform. Amanda Gorman now joins the likes of Marilyn Monroe and RBG whose paintings grace the side of business and row homes in DC. You can now spot Amanda Gorman in her iconic yellow dress and red hat on your way home, on 1608 17th St. NW.

Did you find "The Hill We Climb" inspirational? What was your favorite part? Amanda Gorman was meant to speak at Montgomery College this winter but unfortunately the date has been postponed. I'll keep you posted when they release a new date.
