The Washington Football Team is still on the search for a permanent new name, and they're calling on the public for help!
The current NFC East champions are soliciting submissions through April 5 for their new name. Submit your idea here. The team has received over 15,000 ideas "spanning every state and territory of the U.S., and 60 countries across six continents."
At this time there is no projected timeline as to when the Washington Football Team will be selecting their identity of the future.
Going into the 2021 season, we have seen some changes already. Veteran QB Ryan Fitzpatrick has signed with the burgundy and gold as Alex Smith has been released from the team and they will have a new co-ed cheerleading/dance team.
