Rent a Canoe for Free along the Anacostia River. Yes, there is a Catch.

D.C.'s Department of Energy & Environment joined Mayor Bowser today unveiling a new program to help clean up the Anacostia River. Anacostia Green Boats are canoes that are available to rent for free, if you are willing to help clean up the Anacostia while you're at it. The program is designed to try to help clean up the infamously polluted river. Since the pandemic the Anacostia River's health has greatly improved, but the Department of Energy and Environment would like to keep it that way. What do you think of this new clean up initiative? I personally think it's an awesome idea, and making it free allows everyone who calls DC home to take part in cleaning up their city. Find out more and reserve your canoe and time.
