The National Museum of Natural History has always been one of my favorite museums here in DC. As a kid, we used to go on school field trips, as an adult I had to go when I was at American University to fulfill some anthropology class credits, and now as a parent I do love to bring Eleanor every few years.
After 461 days of having to shut its doors due to the pandemic, the Natural History Museum is finally open, but there are some changes. Namely that you have to reserve a timed pass to get in. There are no exceptions. Some gift shops and cafes are also still closed so be sure to check the museum website before you go. You can reserve passes here.
Here are some pictures from the last time we visited the museum with Eleanor. It's definitely time to take her again.
