Norwegian Women's Olympic Team Fined for Not Wearing Bikinis

The Tokyo 2020 Olympics don't start until Friday, but one team has already received a fine. The Norwegian Women's Beach Handball team has been fined by the European Handball Association's Disciplinary Commission for what they call an "improper uniform". The team opted to swap out the traditional skimpy bikini bottoms for more comfortable and realistic bottoms, a tasteful pair of biker shorts. The team has been fined $1700 for breaking with the uniform tradition. I love their new uniforms and applaud their stand against the uncomfortable bottoms. Why shouldn't they have the option to wear shorts like the men's team?
