COVID-19 Tests May Become Inaccurate if Not Stored at Correct Temperatures

Chances are you have at least one of these stored in your home somewhere. The rapid COVID-19 antigen tests are hot commodities these days and sometimes really hard to find, so be sure you're storing them properly so they don't give you inaccurate results.

Turns out, these guys can be pretty finicky and like to be stored between 36 to 86 degrees. The issue? If the test is exposed to below freezing temperatures the test liquid included in the box can freeze. The liquid can turn to power, the make up of the liquid can change and the results may not be accurate.

So, be sure to keep these in your home in an area that gets proper heat and AC. Don't leave them in your car, or in the mailbox for days on end.
