Safest Country In The World Is... *Drum Roll*

These days there are a lot of places in the country, and the world, where people don’t necessarily feel safe, but a new report reveals where folks can go and not have to worry about their personal safety.

The Australian think tank Vision of Humanity has just come out with their annual Global Peace Index ranking 163 independent states and territories based on things like crime rates, terrorist attacks, murder rates, rates of people being incarcerated, corruption, the government functioning and more.

The think take chose Iceland as the safest country for the 11th year in a row. As for what makes it so safe, Iceland has only 1.8 murders per 100,000 people, and they also have no military and their police are unarmed.

As for the U.S., it’s far from the safest place in the world. In fact, America lands in 121st place. As for the most dangerous countries, that would be Syria and Iraq, which both land on the bottom of the list.
