Each July 11, there's only one place to go: 7-Eleven, where you can get an ice cold — and totally free — Slurpee. Thanks to the store's name, Free Slurpee Day is probably the only free food day anyone actively remembers. And given the recent temps, it couldn't come at a better time.
For this year's holiday, 7-Eleven's featured drink is the new, limited-edition flavor, Cap'n Crunch Berries. You can get a small cup of it, or any of their regular drinks, for f-r-e-e, as long as you head to the store between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. (gotta love their consistency). You can also snag a $1 Big Bite hot dog on July 11 and July 18, which is National Hot Dog Day. Pro tip: Don't eat your dog plain. 7-Eleven has a toppings bar with chili, cheese, pickles, onions, jalapenos, relish, pico de gallo, and more (which you can also use to make loaded tots).
In honor of its 91st anniversary, the gas station/convenience store is extending this year's celebration with 7 Deals in 7 Days. Most of the promos involve buying one snack and getting another free, which either sounds like a great way to stock up for a road trip or a dangerous way to go snack-crazy for a week, depending on your perspective.
Deals include a free Big Gulp fountain drink when you buy a share-size Snickers, free popcorn when you buy a 20-ounce Smartwater, and a free Coca-Cola when you buy Cheez-Its. To access the promos, download the 7-Eleven app and become a 7Rewards member. In case you're not craving junk food enough at the moment, there's also a new S'mores brownie on sale at 7-Eleven, available for a limited time during the summer.
