3-Year Old Daughter Saves Dad Having A Stroke!

A man from Winchester, Virginia, has an unexpected hero to thank for his speedy recovery from an unexpected stroke on Fourth of July: his 3-year-old daughter.

Trevor McCabe, 27, was at home with his 3-year-old daughter, Molly, on the Fourth of July when he suffered a stroke. Molly used her dad’s phone to call her mom on FaceTime while her mom was at work.

“She did a FaceTime call and she was so brave and she told me that daddy got sick and she showed me where daddy was, and so I saw him lying on the ground,” said Molly’s mother, Devon McCabe.

Emergency crews took Trevor McCabe to Winchester Medical Center after Devon McCabe called 911. After receiving medication, he was flown to Inova Fairfax Medical Campus where the blood clot to his artery in his brain stem had to be broken up.

“Probably if I had to pick one artery in the brain that’s the most critical artery that you don’t want to have blocked off, it’s that artery,” Inova radiologist Dr. Edward Greenberg said.

A GoFundMe was organized to help with medical costs, raising almost $51,000 out of $75,000 in eight days. An update to the post says Trevor McCabe has been off the ventilator for about 24 hours.
