It’s happened to all of us – we head out on vacation and start treating our bodies a little differently. We’re on vacation! Of course we’re going to splurge on the extra cocktail, a little dessert, and the best burger we can find around. After all of the treating ourselves that goes down, it’s no wonder we gain a few vacay pounds.
But here’s the deal – weight isn’t the only indicator of good health. In fact, it might be good that you’re packing a little extra padding after a solid vacation. Your weight is going to fluctuate all the time whether you’re on vacation or not. And the thing is? If you’re on vacation and constantly thinking about your food choices, you’re not actually enjoying your vacation. DUH!!
Going on a solid, worry-free vacation is the way to go, and can actually be just as beneficial for your health as choosing the salad every time you go out to eat. If all you spend is a few days every now and then eating whatever you want, you’re really not going to affect your health in the long term.
Treat yoself! Eat whatever you want for a few days! We all deserve to indulge from time to time.
