Elon Musk Wants To Pay For Clean Water In Flint, MI!

Flint, Michigan’s water supply was tainted with lead back in 2014. Since then, the levels have gotten down to meet government standards, but many residents say that their water is unsafe to drink.

The bottled water program has ended now, so those residents have to either spend money or drink unsafe water. That’s where Elon Musk steps in. The CEO of Telsa and Boring…and billionaire…was asked on Twitter to help. His response? “Please consider this a commitment that I will fund fixing the water in any house in Flint that has water contamination. No Kidding.”

Ok then. Here’s how it will happen. Musk said he would reward volunteers willing to organize a “barnstorming weekend” for water-filter installations and said he would set up an email address -- flint@x.com -- for residents to request help. “Most houses in Flint have safe water, but they’ve lost faith in govt test results,” he said in another tweet. “Some houses are still outliers. Will organize a weekend in Flint to add filters to those houses with issues & hopefully fix perception of those that are actually good.”

Let’s see how it goes!
