DC Street Musician Gets Surprise From Kevin Bacon!

A DC man got the surprise of his life on Saturday when actor and musician Kevin Bacon came by Shop Made in DC to surprise him and other street musicians.

Bacon's charity, SixDegrees.org (inspired by the popular "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" game) partnered with DC housing organization Pathways to Housing DC to surprise DC bucket drummer Wendell.

Kevin and his brother Michael Bacon joined Wendell and other street performers by playing with them, all while entertaining customers at Shop Made In DC.

Shop Made In DC donated 10 percent of all food and merchandise purchases made inside the store Saturday to support 3,000 adults each year who are experiencing homelessness or at risk for homelessness.

Pathways to Housing supports people around the District with a unique model meant to end homelessness by focusing on “housing first,” regardless of the persons' personal issues.
