Anyone who’s worked in the service industry knows that folks can be lousy tippers, but one man has just proven himself to be the absolute worst tipper out there, and he is being seriously trolled over it.
A Facebook user, whose identity wasn’t revealed, went on social media to proudly boast about the fun tipping game he used at a restaurant, which he claims will get you “the best service of your life.” Here's how it worked:
Basically, the guy puts five singles on the table at the beginning of the meal, without explanation,
...and if the waitress messes up he takes a bill away, or if they do something great, he puts it bill back,
...and whatever was left at the end is the tip.
“Haha all in all a great evening with my love and a good dinner experiment we both wanted to see play out," he wrote. "Try it, you will be surprised!” Although it turns out the initial post originated about two years ago, Atlanta-based TV personality Mark Arum recently shared a screengrab, writing “As a former waiter, please don’t ever do this. Ever.” As you can imagine, the Internet exploded.
The new post received about 500 comments, with many shockednot only at what this guy had done, but that he actually thought a five-dollar tip for two people was adequate.
