Guinness Opens Huge Tap Room In Maryland!

posted by @TobyChilliShow -

Guinness just opened its first brewery in the U.S. since the 1950s and it’s up and running in Halethorpe, Maryland. Called the Open Gate Brewery and Barrel House, the Baltimore-area location is different from the St. James’s Gate Brewery in Dublin, home to the Irish brand.

The head on most beers is made of carbon dioxide. Good thing we’re not most beers. It’s the nitrogen bubbles in Guinness Draught that form that iconic head. #Guinness #Nitrogen

According to Brewery Ambassador Ryan Wagner, you’ll find stouts on tap there, but they’ll still be made in Dublin. They want to create new beers brewed on site that you can’t get anywhere else. Most of the beers will only be available in the taproom, but some beers may be canned for distribution in the local area. Along with that taproom, the Open Gate Brewery will have a restaurant and offer tours. Cheers!
