Most of us have heard of peanut butter and banana sandwiches. After all, it was said to be one of Elvis' favorites. Some even like a little peanut butter slathered on their hot dogs!
But peanut butter and mayonnaise? Apparently, it's a real thing (like, a real big thing) and it's been making the rounds on social media with people arguing for or (very) against this unusual concoction.
A Facebook page dedicated to the sandwich combo showcases an ad for Skippy and Hellman's together, suggesting the pairing:

Advocates of the sandwich duo say it's a dream:
I was five when I saw my mom eating a peanut butter-mayo-mustard-lettuce sandwich. She let me have a bite. It instantly became one of my favorite foods. Honestly, I don’t eat it enough, for how good it is!— Paradigm Shift Darrell (@bwachutka) September 21, 2018

The best thing my mother came up with was a peanut butter-mayo sandwich with tomato and cucumber topping. And no - you don't have to be pregnant to love it.— Eeyoresmum (@eeyoresmother) September 20, 2018
But others were not so thrilled to learn about this combination!
@siobhan_ogrady I actually like mayo, but this is a NIGHTMARE— Rachel Savage (@rachelmsavage) September 20, 2018
My dad used to eat this with lettuce. I just thought he was a psycho. This changes a lot of stuff...— Barbara Gautreaux (@TecheLife) September 21, 2018
