Mariah Carey has been very open about how much she hated being a judge on “American Idol,” but apparently that hasn’t soured her off talent competition shows. The singer just revealed on “Today” that she is going to be a mentor on NBC’s “The Voice” this season.
Mariah is set to be an advisor during the Knockout Rounds, noting “the sessions with the contestants, some of them have completely blown me away.”
Mariah’s ex-fiance James Packer is opening up about the end of their relationship in a new biography “The Price of Fortune: The Untold Story of Being James Packer.” According to the book’s author, one of James’ friends arranged for his plane to be grounded in Israel in an attempt to get him to postpone the wedding, but he eventually flew back to the singer. James also insists whatever problems they had in their relationship weren’t Mariah’s fault. "I was at a low point in my personal life," he told his biographer. "Mariah is a woman of substance. She is very bright. But it was a mistake for her and a mistake for me."
