Wife Saves Her Husband's Life Days Before Giving Birth!

A new Minnesota mom has a lot to celebrate these days. Ashley Goette recently saved her husband’s life while 39 weeks pregnant and delivered their first child days later. The expecting mom woke up on October 16th and heard her hubby, Andrew, gasping for air in their West St. Paul home. She called 911 and they walked her through doing CPR.

First responders arrived and rushed Andrew to the hospital and doctors put him into a medically induced coma to minimize potential brain damage. Docs warned Ashley that they weren’t sure her husband would survive or if he would suffer brain damage. She said she wouldn’t have the baby until Andrew woke up and thankfully he did just a few days later. He was neurologically intact after the cardiac arrest and didn’t miss the birth of their first child.

Andrew couldn’t be wheeled into the delivery room while his wife had her c-section, so her sister FaceTimed the birth to him. The proud papa was able to watch their son Lennon make his debut from right outside the door thanks to technology. It’s not the way they imagined everything happening, but mom, dad, and baby are healthy, happy, and thankful to be together.
